| Do you sell retail products as well? |
| Not at the moment. Monsoon Kitchens’ products are sold exclusively to the Foodservice market, including many leading hospitals, universities, hotels and corporations. In addition, our products can be found in select hot-buffets in leading supermarkets. |
Are all your products made in the USA or do some come from India? |
| All our products are made in the USA using primarily US made ingredients. In the interest of authenticity we do source select spices and unique ingredients from India. |
What is the shelf life of your products? |
| All Monsoon Kitchens’ products are frozen and, if properly stored and handled, have a shelf life of one year. Our products should be stored at zero degrees or below. Once thawed, our sauces and vegetarian products should be consumed within 3 days. Our chicken products should be eaten within 48 hours after thawing. |
Isn’t Indian Food hot? |
| No, not necessarily. Indian food is known for its spices, though the spices used do not necessarily result in a hot (picante) flavor. Our Khatte Meethe Baigan, for example, blends a number of spices in a sweet and sour sauce. Monsoon Kitchens' appetizers, moreover, contain a lively mix of spices but are suitable to most palates. |
